About Sessions College

Accreditation and Approvals

Whether you’re looking for college or further education, make sure you look for a school that is accredited. In the United States education system, accreditation is a sign of quality assurance and consumer protection. It shows that established authorities in government, state, and in education recognize the quality of a school and its programs, and regularly monitor and approve its business practices.

On this page we present Sessions College accreditations and approvals.

Accreditation (n): The act of granting credit or recognition to an educational institution that maintains defined standards.

Distance Education and Accrediting Commission (DEAC)

Sessions College for Professional Design is accredited by the Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC). The Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC) is a private, non-profit organization founded in 1926 that operates as an institutional accreditor of distance education institutions. The Distance Education Accrediting Commission is listed by the U.S. Department of Education as a recognized accrediting agency. The Distance Education Accrediting Commission is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA).

Middle States Commission on Secondary Schools

Sessions College certificate programs are accredited by The Middle States Commission on Secondary Schools. The Middle States Commission on Secondary Schools is one of three regional accrediting Commissions that function within Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. The Commission on Secondary Schools serves both public and non-public schools in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and the District of Columbia and numerous locations around the world. Its goal is to make it easier for students to take online courses offered by postsecondary institutions based in another state. SARA is overseen by a National Council and administered by four regional education compacts.
