SESSIONS COLLEGE FOR PROFESSIONAL DESIGN EXPANDS AWARD WINNING CAREER PROGRAM OFFERINGS

The digital photography revolution has turned everyone into photographers, creating an ever-increasing demand for high-quality photography. Sessions College for Professional Design is proud to announce the expansion of its program and course offerings to include a new Associate Degree in Digital Photography and an Undergraduate Certificate in Digital Photography. Building on the school’s long-standing strength in photography and Photoshop curriculum, the one and two year programs provides more options for a career and advancement in which photographers can monetize their images.

Sessions College President Gordon Drummond, says “The Digital Photography programs are designed to provide essential training for those aspiring to be professional photographers. Students will move from a foundation in camera operation and digital imaging to advanced training in shooting and post-production. The ultimate goal is not just to create images that only aesthetically pleasing, but to create graduates who can use their talents as a source of income.”

Sessions College ensures that its students remain on the cutting-edge of new developments in online learning and the ever challenging artistic and technological advances in the professional design industry. By developing its own proprietary award-winning course materials, students benefit from the most current and up-to-date materials, written by designers for designers.

Art, design business, marketing training and other courses that would generally require students to pursue a Bachelor’s degree are also part of the curriculum. Specialized Digital Photography classes in Commercial Photography, Narrative Photography, Photo Setup, and the History of Photography—as well as Digital Photography, Color Correction, Photo Retouching, and Digital Video Production/Editing ensure students are prepared for the technical and creative challenges. Wrapping up the program is a portfolio review giving the future photographers a seasoned portfolio before graduation.
