Understanding Your Color Scheme

The color calculator creates a color wheel chart by allowing you to input or output colors in three different digital color systems: HEX, RGB, and CMYK.

#234099

Hexadecimal or HEX color values are generally used in HTML and CSS to specify color on the Web. They are represented by a six-figure number that can include a combination of numbers and letters, preceded by a hash tag (#).

R:35 G:64 B:153

RGB color values are generally used to specify color on screen. They are represented by three numbers that indicate the amounts of red (R), green (G), and blue (B) needed to create a color.

C:100 M:90Y:0 K:0

CMYK color values are generally used to specify color for print. They are represented by four numbers that indicate the amounts of cyan (C), magenta (M), yellow (Y) and black (K) needed to create a color in print.
