Free Font Friday: Hesland
by Taylor Slattery | October 11, 2019
Hesland is a vintage, Americana inspired pair of typefaces created by Vultype Co, an Indonesia-based type foundry. The pairing consists of a script font and a sans serif, packaged together for an all in one type solution. The script font is weathered and its uneven edges give it a strong feeling of heritage and craftsmanship.
The sans serif has tall compressed letterforms with round edges that bloat out in places, like a stamp that’s been oversaturated with ink. Together, the two offer a strong vintage flavor with a bit of a woodsy vibe. The compressed letterforms make them perfectly suited for packaging, store signage, or merchandise. Hesland is a great choice for any project that needs to capture a handcrafted feel. Hesland is available in both clean and rough styles. You can check it out here.
