Free Font Friday: Tofino

Our Free Font Friday series profiles the design characteristics of today’s free downloadable typefaces.

For this week’s Free Font Friday we bring you Tofino—a clean, balanced, modern typeface. Designed by Alanna Munro, Tofino is described as “West Coast Swiss” because it’s inspired by Swiss type but with added warmth and character, a.k.a. West Coast.

Tofino comes in eight weights and unlike its inspiration, is designed directly for the screen, so the typeface will look crisp and snappy on website and mobile projects.

For personal use, this is a Pay-What-You-Want font, however consider paying something. For a commercial license you can get the eight fonts in this typeface for a very reasonable $80.
