About me: Outside of Sessions, I often enjoy immersing myself in the great outdoors: hiking unique trails, sprinting across scenic routes, or even cruising around the neighborhood on my scooter. Whenever there is a local activity nearby, I will try to participate as it’s quite fun connecting with others that have similar interests.
My creative strengths focus primarily on dynamic digital marketing and captivating print materials, such as Flyers, Posters, Web banners, Social Media Graphics, Email Newsletters, and Web design.
Benefits of studying online: I believe studying online empowers students with self-paced learning and flexible time management, offering the freedom to work from anywhere. The courses often provide a personalized learning experience and cost significantly less than on-site education. I would further add that they play a pivotal role in developing essential skills needed in the future that one could quickly assume are optional.
Best thing about Sessions: Sessions College’s standout feature is its hands-on approach to lectures. Everything is made simple and easy to understand, allowing for a comprehensive grasp of the course materials. The self-paced learning that I experienced during the Web Design Professional Certificate program not only expanded my knowledge that I previously did not have but also reignited my passion and enthusiasm for graphic design. It is undoubtedly the best place for aspiring artists to study.
Favorite classes or instructors: I loved Photoshop Basics and Bootstrap Using Dreamweaver II. Reflecting on the Web Design Professional Certificate Program, I found the learning process reinvigorating as I worked through all seven courses. I also want to give a special mention to Color Theory as my Book Cover project design was nominated for the Student Gallery at Sessions College.
My favorite instructor is Piper Nilsson. She was involved in four of my classes. I appreciate her timing and responses in helping me understand the materials better. I admire how she would note any mistakes within the HTML code, explain the error, and encourage me to update it. A great instructor should possess these qualities, and Piper Nilsson embodies all of them. I would be thrilled to work with her again in a heartbeat.
Goals after graduation: Ever since completing the Web Design Professional Certificate Program, I have been wholeheartedly dedicated to expanding my skills and experience as a marketing graphic designer.
