Graduate Profile
About me: I enjoy hiking, crocheting, and playing video games with my son when not working.
Favorite projects: I design characters for children's books. I am skilled in both digital and traditional media. I enjoy working with traditional mediums such as watercolor and gouache, and I also like to paint digitally.
Why I studied online: I benefited from being able to set my own schedule and finish a project at my own pace. Taking classes online made it easier to balance my schoolwork and family obligations.
Best thing about Sessions: The best thing about Sessions was being able to connect with other artists from all over the world. I have stayed in contact with previous classmates, and we talk all the time.Â
Favorite class or instructor? I enjoyed all of the classes I took at Sessions, but the information that my instructors, Jordan Schranz and Ann Catharine Blake, provided me was invaluable.
Creative and/or professional goals after graduation? I have started my own business and have continued freelancing. I have shown my work in various local galleries as well.  I was inspired to make these pieces after my Mixed Media Exploration class. I am also in the process of completing my first children's book.Â
“Jaclyn maintains a professional focus, consistently demonstrating her proficiency technically as well as pushing creative boundaries and being willing to experiment.“
