Graduate Profile
About me: Outside of Sessions, I love to be outside lol: taking photos, traveling, learning, gardening, kayaking, walking and exploring with my dog, campfires, foraging, apothecary, even hunting with family…and my biggest passion is natural medicine. I’ve learned (and experienced) that our bodies can heal itself naturally giving it the right conditions and I want to share what I know.
Favorite projects: I would say my strengths are photography and Lightroom and I’m comfortable enough with video editing, web design, and branding, although I’m definitely not an expert.
Why I studied online: Traveling! I got to travel a few times during my studies (to include a 7,200 mile, 2.5 month road trip), take photos for school and test my photography skills on the go. That was definitely the highlight of studying online. Overall, I've appreciated the flexibility and quality of education at Sessions. There are a few reasons I would've preferred to take some of the photography & PS courses in person but overall it was a rewarding experience.
Favorite class or instructor? Favorite instructor by far, without a doubt, was definitely Felicia “Flee” Kieselhorst. She’s down to earth. Her feedback and criticisms were so beneficial, encouraging, and thorough. She understands the struggles of life and I’m so appreciative and thankful I got a few classes with her!
Creative/professional goals after graduation? I just sold all of my belongings, moved out of my home and I’m getting a camper to travel full time. I would love to go on some guided photography trips, take beautiful landscape and wildlife photos, learn more about natural medicine, maybe attend some retreats and mission trips. The possibilities are endless.
My first degree is a Bachelors in Business Management & now I have an Associates in Photography. I have tons of social media, blogging, sales, website building and so much experience in other areas. My passion is traveling, photography, and natural medicine. I want to put them together and create a business that I enjoy and bless others with… and make a difference.
God is leading me one step at a time. I’m patient and learning as much as I can in the meantime. I think my goals will become more clear when I hit the road and have more time to reflect. My life completely took a 180 this year and I’m starting a whole new chapter. Many doors closed and new ones opening. From this moment on, my life is forever changed. Finding freedom on the road doing what I love! Very emotional wandering into the unknown from my comfortable home life, but so exciting and spontaneous! I’m ready!
