Graduate Profile
About me: I've started small craft business last year, and I've attended vendor fairs as a side hustle. But I've also been making comics for fun during my spare time, which was plenty of practice for how I wish to make and publish graphic novels.
Favorite projects: I work traditionally and digitally. I can draw expressive cartoon style characters, and I realize that I've been improving on environmental and background work.
Why I studied online: While I do wonder what a campus college experience would be like, online classes were most appropriate for me, not just because of the virus, but also because we were moving to another state in 2021. So an overall benefit would be that I was able to work whenever I chose, however much chose.
Best thing about Sessions: I feel that with whatever level I may be at in certain skills or classes, instructors were helpful and encouraging. Even if some classes had been more interesting than others to me, we were all at least able to learn multiple skills.
Favorite class or instructor? My favorite classes would be Watercolor, Painting, Commercial Illustration, Life Drawing II, Cartooning and Sequential Art, and the Capstone Project.
Creative and/or professional goals after graduation? Be a freelance illustrator as a side job while preparing and drawing graphic novel stories I'd like to publish, perhaps online at first and then physically later on.
