SESSIONS COLLEGE AND EXCELSIOR COLLEGE EXTEND PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT

Two leading pioneers in online education, Sessions College for Professional Design (sessions.edu) and Excelsior College, announce the extension of their educational partnership through 2017. Under the renewed agreement, Excelsior College’s Center for Professional Development will continue offering Sessions College award-winning vocational design certificates, in line with its mission of preparing students for "portable" careers.

Continuing to offer our Programs through Excelsior means we reach more students and train more designers in this ever growing industry." stated Lou Schilt, Sessions College Executive Vice President.

Sessions College promotes the concept that design should never be a one-size-fits-all. The partnership provides an additional avenue to further shape and motivate students into unique designers with management and business skills. Whether they wish to remain as designers or develop their own design business, the one-of-a-kind training they’ll receive at Sessions College and Excelsior College will be rewarding.

Excelsior is a private, nonprofit, regionally-accredited, distance learning institution serving 40,000 students, globally. The College is home to five schools as well as several centers and institutes.

Sessions and Excelsior also have a separate, and exciting, articulation agreement under which Sessions College graduates of its Graphic Design, Web Design, and Digital Media degree and certificate programs can round out their education by earning a specialized Bachelor of Professional Studies degree in either Business and Management or Technology Management from Excelsior, a regionally accredited institution. In two years or less, students can take advantage of outstanding credit transfer program and academic partner tuition.

In addition, the synergy between the Sessions College and Excelsior is based on their shared values of:
